WTF is up with Verizon wireless $100 rebate debit card? What happened to the nice crisp check they used to send you?

All is fine and dandy until you draw down the card to like $5. Then you try to buy something for $5.01 it says the card is denied. Its awesome having a declined bank card at the front of a long line trying to buy a pack of gum. I mean sh*t, you don't even get the chance to give them the penny. Its just denied.

Its a total scam. How many people out there have old verizon rebate cards lying around with like $3, $4, or $5 on them because we are too busy to find that product that is exactly $3.34 cents.

Total garbage. Why can't I just get a check like normal rebates. Its not the 2 bucks i care about. Its the principle. Am I crazy or do other people know what I'm talking about?
